PETTAVEL RESTAURANT

Kept busy sourcing the freshest local produce and quality ingredients, Pettavel Executive Chef Matt Dempsey and the Pettavel kitchen team continually produce modern, innovative and creatively presented taste sensations on a plate.

 

The Pettavel menu changes daily dependent on the freshest seasonal flavours, and consists of three banquet style entrees, a wide selection of main courses and tempting desserts for $75.00 per head. Pettavel wines are available by the glass and bottle, and we also have a comprehensive wine list featuring both Australian and International wines. The restaurant is open seven days a week for lunch and every Friday night for dinner, served in the same format as our five course lunch. Light meals are available in cellar door to compliment the cellar door wine tasting experience, and provide time constrained visitors an option to sample the Pettavel menu. A cheese menu and dessert from our restaurant menu and coffee are served throughout the day, as of course is our cellar door wine tasting.

Pettavel Daily Lunch Menu

Seven days a week, the seasonally influenced Pettavel lunch menu offers guests a leisurely dining experience. A trio of entrees are served before a choice of main course, followed by choice of dessert. The five course banquet meal is served at a relaxing pace allowing visitors time to enjoy and appreciate the flavours of both food and wine.

 

Bookings are essential and available between 12.00 and 2.00pm, seven days a week.

friday night dining at pettavel

Friday night dining is a year round feature at Pettavel, allowing guests to enjoy the Pettavel five course dinner from 6.30pm every Friday night. The Friday night dinner menu follows the renowned Pettavel format of three seasonal entrees, followed by a choice of main course and dessert.

Pettavel Cellar Door Menu

The Pettavel Cellar Door menu, including a tasting plate for one, provides guests the opportunity to complement wine tasting's with a selection of flavours and textures. The cellar door menu also allows time constrained guests the opportunity to experience the complete spectrum of Pettavel flavours. To complement an casual meal, or for afternoon enjoyment desserts and coffee can be ordered throughout the day.

Pettavel Cheese Menu

A carefully selected cheese menu, sourced from a range of local and imported cheese makers offers Pettavel guests a broad spectrum of flavours and textures.

 

These specialty cheeses are served with Pettavel's own freshly baked bread and can be matched paired to a wine tasting, as a part of the restaurant dining experience or as an afternoon indulgence.

Pettavel Wine List

The full range of Pettavel wines are available by the half glass, glass and bottle, and may be tasted in our cellar door prior to being seated in the restaurant.

 

As wine and food matching is extremely important to us at Pettavel our extensive wine list features over 150 wines from both national and international wine regions, ensuring that an interesting and complimenting wine match can be found for the ever changing creativity of the Pettavel menu.

  Cookin Class

PETTAVEL COOKING CLASSES
The Pettavel cooking classes for 2008 have been completed. Guests enjoyed guided hands on tuition in the Pettavel kitchen gaining an insight into the methods and techniques of a commercial kitchen. A shopping tour was introduced in 2008 taking participants to a number of regional suppliers providing insights into the secrets of sourcing the best ingredients. Garden fresh herbs and vegetables

As we focus on seasonal freshness in the kitchen a great deal of care and attention is given to the Pettavel herb and vegetable garden, from which we source a range of garden fresh produce each day. Gardener Claudio maintains an immaculate set of garden beds that are a constant source of the freshest produce ranging from fragrant herbs, juicy raspberries, vine ripened tomatoes, baby leeks, mignonette lettuce and garlic.

 

The olive grove at the rear of the winery produces seven varieties of olives that are harvested and cold pressed at the end of summer each year to produce a perfumed crisp and lively extra virgin olive oil that is served to each guest when dining at Pettavel, and available for purchase in the Pettavel cellar door.

SPECIAL EVENTS AT PETTAVEL

Throughout the year Pettavel hosts a number of special event dinners, functions and events, the most recent event featured Frank Camorra, owner and chef at the highly acclaimed MOVIDA restaurant in Melbourne. Frank, recently awarded the prestigious title of Chef of the Year by the 2009 Age Good Food Guide worked with the Pettavel kitchen team to prepare and serve a highly successful five course lunch and dinner at Pettavel, each served with a matched Spanish wine.
